We let a friend borrow Elizabeth's Exer-Saucer and just got it back. Elizabeth spent the entire afternoon playing with the thing! (I included a pic of her from a year ago playing with the same toy ... quite the change, huh!)

Petting Zoo
We took a quick weekend trip home and Elizabeth got to visit her first petting zoo. My Mom, Grandma, and Sharon and her boys joined us for a morning at the stock show. Elizabeth wasn't too sure of the animals at first, especially with so many kids around. She did like the goats and of course the obese but super soft rabbit! Don't you love Laeton's cowboy hat - he also wore his cowboy boots! It's so fun to watch Raedon and Laeton with Elizabeth because they adore her so much! In the afternoon, Elizabeth got to cheer her Grandpa on during his bowling tournament. At the end, she started getting into it and would cheer and give him high-fives! Andrew spent his morning hiking with Mike M. and then the afternoon hiking with Mike A. and Michael. He really enjoyed himself! The short weekend was definitely worth it!
Teenager already?!
The other day I walked out and saw Elizabeth talking on her cell phone, playing with her car keys! Yikes! (I know Dad, paybacks are coming .. but it's a little early don't you think?) Isn't her smile beautiful...really brightens up her blue eyes!
RUN! Mom has the scissors!
Whew, the first haircut is over! I was reluctant to cut Elizabeth's bangs because I was so afraid of the mullet! Eventually I had to relent though because poor thing couldn't see at all and was too stubborn to leave any clips or rubber bands in her hair! She did pretty good until I poked her in the eye with the scissors ... just kidding ... sort of ..! In the end, with both eyeballs intact and a rather shaken up mother - the masterpiece is complete!
Best Friends
Elizabeth's best friend Bryn spent a morning with us. Elizabeth was sooo excited to show her friend around her room and to "share" her toys. (Okay, so she was rather controlling with the sharing...Bryn could only play with what Elizabeth said was okay to play with...what a bossy brat...nothing like her mother...!) Bryn, bless her heart was laid back and content playing with anything! Bryn taught Elizabeth to crawl and play underneath the table and chairs and then the two of them spent about 15 minutes spinning in circles and giggling until they both fell to the floor because they were so dizzy! Seeing them giggling over nothing reminded me of times with Jenny! (Remember jack-in-the-box?!) It was so much fun watching the two play. Definately encouraged me to make more playdates for Elizabeth though...we WILL get this sharing business down! HaHa
