My dear friend and neighbor Dorkus excitedly offered to take Mercy, me, and the kids by mutatu to her land! Dorkus lived across from us and invited me over many times during our time in Litein. Her 4-year old daughter, Mercy, quickly became Elizabeth and Alexander's best friend.
We were surprised and excited to learn Dorkus and her husband, who is a nurse supervisor at the hospital, had been saving for years to buy a piece of land for their family in a nearby town, Chesingogrom. They moved the same weekend we left in to the smaller house and have plans to build a more permanent brick house in the future. Mercy will attend the same private school but instead of walk will ride a bus everyday.
