For Andrews birthday, the kids were so excited to buy his presents. Elizabeth decided to pick out a pack of army men (which ended up being firefighters…) because Andrew has been talking about getting some to play with on the train track (thoughtful, huh!). Alexander chose a set of airplanes, “two so we can boff have one.” After eating our Thai pizza (success) and mint chocolate cheesecake (failure), we headed downtown to brave the sub zero temps to walk through the Rotary Lights. If we hadn’t been spoiled by the light display at Story Book Island in SD, the display would’ve been more exciting… First thing we saw was Santa’s hut and when I asked the kids if they wanted to see Santa, Alexander took off running. Elizabeth froze and looked at me with a panic face, “but mom, I don't have a list with me!!” We also had fun checking out the human-powered Christmas tree in a warming hut. Happy Birthday Andrew!
