Once Andrew met us out west, we took off with Sam and Mike backpacking in Custer State Park. We didn't make it as far as we'd planned due to a very swollen river (which made for 5 very interesting creek crossings....!) and an ominous storm cloud.
A quick down pour made us scramble to set up camp and huddle in a rather small tent. Needless to say, it wasn't long before Andrew and Mike dodged out to build what I call a boy fort. Gotta love Andrew's sense of style!
On our girls day out, we of course had to visit Uncle Mike at the shoe store! (really the visit was simply about the shoes but we told him we came to visit him... shhh.
The kids and I loaded up the van (which we sold in Rapid... :( ) and took a trip across the state with Sam heading to Rapid! Andrew took his Step 1 Boards the next day and then met us in the car. My first day back began with a morning of tanning outside with a mimosa, then on to lunch and of course shopping. I had a blast!
