Andrew surprised me with these beautiful flowers on a day when I needed it the most. Elizabeth had been extremely fussy and not sleeping very well. This day I discovered cold sores on her tongue. A trip to the doctors office confirmed the reason behind her bad mood. Unfortunately, they told us to stick it out with Tylenol and Motrin...

Two days later, before a long weekend, Elizabeth had not slept a wink (nor had Andrew or I) and was not eating or drinking. She was obviously dehydrated because her tears (which normally flow like a faucet) had dried up. I pushed us into the doctors office only to find out that the sores were all over Elizabeth's tongue, throat, cheeks, and roof of her mouth! Thankfully, I bought Elizabeth some Pedialyte which helped with the dehydration but we had to wait another 4 days before Elizabeth started to feel better. The whole time I had to remind myself why Elizabeth screamed nonstop because after the first couple hours you forget how much pain she is in and can only think about how frustrating her screams are! Thankfully, after close to two weeks Elizabeth was smiling, playing, and my favorite, sleeping again!
